Please Help My Mandarin

Hey if nothing else I read in a post last night that you can buy pods. I don't know the details but I am sure if you do a search you will be able find some for sale.
I am going to try find some for sale myself. I too want a mandarin and thought that might help.

I've done some searching but didn't find anything. I emailed a guy a one website about it and he said he would have to set up a breeding mat and he needed some time. I'm still searching though.

Have you checked with your LFS? I'm pretty sure one in my area sells them, so you might get lucky with yours.

I sure did check my LFS. They are a bunch of.........nevermind. They don't have any. But I'm going to check out the a lead I have on the net. Hopefully I will find them.

You can get some really good refug packs of a famouse auction site.

I got lucky with mine she loves bloodworms, give it a try whats the worst that could happen, it won't eat them. also try some live brine.

Is it possible for a Refugium to support a pod population in a 55 enough to keep a Mandarin healthy?
Asking cause I honestly don't know.

I had a friend give me a rock about 3 inches long. He had seen pods on it frequently so he put it in a ziploc bag with water and gave it to me and within 2 weeks my tank became infested with them they multiply faster than rabbits or hamsters. My mandarin loved them until he dissapeared dont ask me how there is no preadatory fish in the tank and he didn't jump out it has just puzzled me anyways that should work.

He probly disapeared because a pod population in a tank "canot" sustain a manderin very long they will whipe out the entire population and starve. You should have a refurgium before keeping a manderin goby!
