im looking to get a tank. i would like to get a bio cube as i like the tank and used to have one, sadly had to sell it because i was in college and needed money badly. but anyways it was a stock 29 gallon, had some simple corals.
you guys probly wonder why i posted this in clown fish.
thats because thats the only fish i want in the tank along with coral.
its a toss up between 14 gallon bio cube or 29 gallon biocube. i've been looking at nano customs and cannot decide what to get. i think i might want a modded tank so i can have some more corals. what do you guys recomend?
if you dont think i should get a biocube what should i get?
Also if i do get a bio cube what should i do with the middle chamber? i've seen alot of people do alot of diffrent things? whats works best all i kno is bio balls can cause problems.
thank you all

I have never messed with a biocube so my advice would be no good there. But in my opinion, the biggest you can afford is what you should go with. Expecially with corals, that are sensitive you water quality anyway, there would be more room for error. Also with more room in the tank, more room for corals!

I had a 12 gallon nano cube about 4 years ago. It was my first saltwater tank and I had plenty of fun with it. But as Katiebug said, the bigger the better. I outgrew the tank because there was so much I wanted to do as in corals, fish etc. etc. I'm in the works of putting a 39 gallon tank together now, which I think will be perfect for me and my budget. On my 12 nano cube, I actually took off the back housing (where the filters, heater, goodies) so I would have more room to work with. It was only a small change in gallons, probably less than 1-2, but I felt better about it.

i have a 29 gallon bio cube and i LOVE it!!! if u put the bioballs in back it creates enough filtration along with your rocks and sand to allow you to make some mistakes without huge disasters, and it is also very quiet and the built in pump creates great flow, however i bought mine with out stock lighting since IMO it is not enough for the corals i wanted so i bought a 108 watt 3 bulb compact flourescent light off ---- for i think $70 that is REALLY nice, spring for the 29 it is really worth. just my 2 cents

unless it comes with a chiller it isnt worth it, the MH will heat the small tank too much and a chiller would be required wihtout it the tank would fail completley
