Ok so here is the deal. Right now i have a 30 gallon tank but i can get a new 75 with overflow and ported for only 200. I am just stuck in a pickle because i can not make up my mind on whether i should go ahead with it or not. I was planning on using my 30 gallon as my sump as well. I am just looking for some input on what other people would do if they had this little perdicament.

Its a pain to transfer, but more real estate in your own little ocean is awesome if you like the hobby. More square footage to waste every penny you earn on. jump on it. JMO

Ok well since it seems like a good deal to everyone and myself i just have another question. I was planning on using my 30 gallon as my sump and just wanted to know what extra thing i would need to make that work. Here is what i have now: Fluval 305 canister filter, Marineland Emperor Filter System, 1 Hagen AquaClear Powerhead Multifunctional Water Pumps, was planning on getting another one at least, and a protein skimmer. Pretty much my question is how does the sump hook up to the new tank?

you run tubes from your overflow down into the sump then run a return from a large powerhead or return drive pump back into the display, at oppposite ends of the sump, there are a ton of good sump threads in the DIY section that can clarify almost any question about plumbing a sump, it'll just take a little digging using the search butto in the DIY section.

Don't forget that a larger tank holds more rock, more sand, more fish etc... which also means more $$$$$ but if you can afford it go for it.

If you can spare the money, go for it. Not only is a larger tank going to make your fish happier, but you can do so much more with the extra room. Of course it's probably going to be more money, but it could be well worth it in the end. Personally, I'd go for it.
