Hi all
I am finally doing it!!!
Getting a 55 gallon glass tank and starting from scratch.
I beg you all pretty please to give me your recommendations as to what items to get. Please detail brands too. I am looking for the quiet ones if possible.
I wanted to do a reef tank..but after reading that a novice should start with fish only...then I am going to do that. I will do the reef at a later date..I will start with fish, lr and ls.
So with lighting..I am not sure if I should get something that gives me the ability to upgrade later. Or maybe it's easier for me to sell the lights and buy new ones?? :thinking:
I do want to do a refugium..but if I don't need one being that it is just fish only..let me know. I have read books but want to get your advice too.
Money is not an object right now...so any equipment that will help maintain it the best
would be great. I am also attaching an automatic top-off system to avoid having to contantly do that.
I will be getting a ro/di also...just a basic one.

p.s. I do not want to do lights that give off alot of heat or any mercury vapors. No MH...
I will have a cover on the stand and that will not allow too much heat to escape thus requiring a chiller which I do not want to get. That is part of the reason that I am not doing reef right now too.
