Please Help

PLEASE HELP ME...:help:
I started a new 20 gal long tank about a month and a half ago...andi've been testing the water and i tested the water today and the nitrite was .5, PH was 7.8, AM was .25, and Nitrate was 20!!!! Someone please tell me what to do...this cant be good..

MAybe i should do a water change tommorow right whne i wake up...that might help

My friends master test kit, its a Master Liquid Test Kit....with all those test in it...
In the tank i have 2 damsles and live rock....
please help

I would definitely do a water change to help get rid of nitrates.
And it should also help bring your ph back. If not you will need to use a ph buffer.

I agree water changes are a good idea. I would add any buffer at this point though...
I'd do the water change and wait a few hours to test. Were you able to read 0 with these test kits for ammonia and nitrites before this??

Any time anything dies in the tank it makes alot of ammonia then goes thru the cycle and later turns into high nitrates.
I believe you had a shrimp die recently right.

good job scott..lol the tank she be fine now...sry i didnt come ova wit the testin kit..ill bring it ova tomorrow...alright lata..
