It's probably diatom algea...it's the first algea that usually shows up a new tank.
Can you give us a little bit of info on your tank? Size, what type of livestock, how long has the tank been running, what type of filtration, what kind of water are you using? That type of stuff.

after joe turned me onto julian sprung in a conversation about ich I read up on everything I can find from him.
He's the co-owner or soemthing like that for two little fishes as well. They make a bunch of stuff for our tanks
