i also had it intill i added my tang. he ate it all.

Pretty sure it is not sponge...but some sort of plant/algea. It is very flexable. So far it has been a pretty cool and completly harmless hitchhiker. Thanks so far, any other ideas???

the tank i just bought had alot of this in it, i pulled alot of it off but left some, i dont know what it is but the guy said hes had it in there for 4 years or so and that it just started growing and didnt seem to be bothering anything so he left it there. feels like a wet shag carpet if you can think of how that would feel then you know how this feels

i have a sailfin. my tank eats anything. he keeps the tank pretty clean.
