Thanks j21kickster, you were right. Just did a search on tunicate, and seems like quite a few people have had the same question. Thanks again.

Those are Leucilla or Clathrina sponges, both more commonly called Q-tip sponges. They are not tunicates. All tunicates have two openings and Q-tips, including the ones pictured only have one. There is a common tunicate that looks very simular to them, but it has two very clear openings. I have both and once you've seen them side by side it's easier to tell the difference. The sponges are also harmless filter feeders.

well thanks all, I was waiting for someone to have the same thing as I do, so its a good thing? I got them hanging off my back of my glass too. Glad I'm not the only one--no web cam to post pics. :D Where did they come from? I was thinking they were pineapple sponges.
