boy that was horrible. I did not realize that FLA did not have sirens. Those poor folks literally did not know what hit them. They were sound asleep.
I have been awakened many a late night/early morning to sirens and tornado warnings.
They were saying that some of those people did not have insurance anymore do to the crazy insurance rates in FLA.
Those NOAA/weather radios are fantastic. I wouldn't trade ours for anything.
I believe the sirens are typically located in tornado alley, which FLA, supposedly, is not in.
Very said day for many. Fla seems to catch natural disasters every which way.
my motherinlaw live not far from a place called tornado alley in mississippi. they get a lot. I have seen water spouts from my home, but fla ussually does not get hit with f3s
20 dead this morning. They hit at a very bad time in prodominately older resident communities... most of the florida peninsula got a taste of the storm but thos in north central the worst
