Looks like you will need to throw on a MaxiJet 1200 on that inle above the pump to feed the skimmer water but thats all under 300

Sorry totally spaced on that....125DT with 55sump.
And yes, I need it to have its own built in pump.
the design of my tank and sump are already nearing completion and a skimmer w/own pump is now manditory.

Runner,
THat last onethe BM 160 caught my eye. Gravity fed...meaning the standpipes drain directly into the skimmer?
If so that works for me^^
by doing that I wont need another pump..I can just submerge into the sump correct?

yes i think you can drain a line to it for the gravity feed into that inlet and that will supply the water.

look into the msx/octo 160 line of skimmers. the pump is under the skimmer and it doesnt require any other pump or gravity feed

+1 i have the MSX 160 and it does one heck of a job. However i dont have a 55 gal.sump so the 200 would probably work better for you if you choose this brand of skimmer.
Have any progress pic King?
