I just plumbed my refugium using a weir homemade overflow box that drops down to my refugium. I was using a mag 7 to go to my top fathom 200a protein skimmer that was sitting behind my fuge and than it was supposed to go back into my tank. Problem is that the water makes it into the skimmer but doesnt seem to have enough presure to make it back up to the tank. Is it alright if i just hang the simmer on the back with a little shelf to support the skimmer or am I missing something. Oh yeah and the overflow is making a loud slurping noise and breaks syphon everyonce in awhile. Mind you i only had it running for a few minutes because of no way back to the tank.
