pod acclimation questions

I'm sure someone here has orderd pods online. A company on a big auction site says to just temp acclimate them, which is fine, but it doesn't say what to do after that... pour the bag in? i know that's a no no normally, but I can't think of any other way.
Also, is there anything out there that can help them multiply?

Pour the bag or bottle in and then using your tank water rinse that bag or bottle multiple times to get them all out.

I would acclimate them by dripping tank water in the bag they came in then try to scoop them out or anyway you can get them out while limiting the amount of bag water you pour in the main tank.

I think I'm gonna try a good ol fashion turkey baster to leave as much of their water as possible to be discarded.
So, nothing out there to help them multiply? They're filter feeders, correct? What can I use to supplement their food if they're not going in the DT right away?

I have always just temp. acclimated & then dumped all the Pod water in the tank (ours comes in bottles & isn't that much water at all really).
I know some people make "pod piles"...just put some rubble in a corner of the tank for the pods to hide in & multiply before they're eaten!
