Pod friendly fish?

I want to add a fish to my system because it lacks the motion I would like. However, my pod population is still growing and I dont want to add a fish that will decimate them. Any suggestions? Bright colors are also a plus. :D

Ed,
Thank you for your reply.Actually it's 3 lb.s on top of about 3" of ls and I don't have any algae on my sand nor any dead anythings..so,I guess I'm still stumped.Anyone else have any thoughts on this??

That makes sense. What fish could pass up a tasty live morsel?? However, do some fish tend to have a less than voracious appetite for them?? If not that's understandable, but just asking if that was possible. :D

Have you thought about buying a starter kit (or fauna/detrivore kit depending on where you look) to help your pod population get started?

Well don't get sixline or dragonette, that's for sure. Clowns are generally pod friendly. I used to have a sebae clown and pods are running around the tank without getting eaten. However, now with my sixline, no pods are ever seen again  .

I figured my choices would be slim. But thank you all for the replies. Looks like I'm going to have to do a bit more research. Thanks.

Same thing here with my six-line. I don't even see many at night anymore. I guess the six-line is one big shrimp eater. He as eaten almost all the amphipods I have. They use to number in the hundreds at night.

Also, don't get "scooter blennies". They too will decimate any pod pop you have. I have a lot of pods and 4 green chromis in my tank, so I don't think the chromis are voracious pod eaters.

The obvious answer is to get a strictly herbiverous fish. But you thought of that allready, right? <img src="graemlins//urrr.gif" border="0" alt="[urrr]" />
