Just took a look at my system... its been up and running for a few weeks now, just the 40 gallon display tank, the 40 gallon sump/refuge, 100 pounds of live rock, and put some macro algae in there today. Both tanks have *tons* of pods everywhere. I notice they seem to like to hang out in the spaces between the baffles of the sump.

well, it holds about 26 gallons when running... it fit under the tank in the stand, i have plenty of room for display tank water to drain in the event of a power outage... huge increase in my water volume! Good thing too, with the 100 pounds of rock i got, i didnt want to cram the display, so the rest went into the summp/refuge area

Okay, I was just wondering. But if you are going to use it for extra rock, etc...good move....

its been great to have, my other tank is an 8gallon biocube... this is like going from a studio apartment into a mansion, lol.
THe sump has the heater, skimmer and such, the extra rock, (pod production), all I have in the main tank is the powerheads, its nice and clean in there.

these are from when the rock first went in, so its not too bad looking, there is lots of algae growth now... and before the sand went in. I should have use of a camera tomorrow, so ill take some updated ones :)

Yup, they were sitting in the tank with the cured rock that I bought, so i figured... they have life in them!
The fuge took a while. THe setup i had gotten came with a 37 gallon tank for the sump, i hated the layout, and it was really noisy. So i went an just got another 40 breeder tank, took forever planning it, and then forever getting the baffles in.
Ill try to get a full system shot, its kinda neat to see the sump is actually the same size as the display, lol.
