I am having a huge issue in my 3 gal pico with pods, they guys are everywhere, huge in size and really annoying my zoas. I want to get rid of them as there is so many of them. What can be suggested to eat these guys??
When i feed my suncoral they are right there and grab the food from the coral.
I am willing to put in a a temporary fish to do the job.

I am getting a yellow clown goby tomorrow for this tank. Will they eat pods??
These pods are more the size of amphipods, if the clown goby will eat these then I would be elated.
It was suggested I get a scooter blenny for this job and then rehouse it when done. If the Yellow Clown Goby will eat these guys then I can do without the scooter blenny.
All help greatly appreciated as they are way out of hand in this tank.

I would think that the yellow clown goby will eat pods... i think every fish would eat pods if fed them... and you can probally keep the yellow clown goby in there because they stay very very small... i just got one for my 5.5 and hes awesome so u wont be disapointed

i am thinking about gettin a clown goby for my 50 gallon... i have around 1700 GPH of flow in it... do you think that is to much for that small fish?

Well I got my clown gobies today. I went for 2 of them because they are so cheap at this place and back home we pay 28.50 each for them as appose to 7.00 where i got them from. I don't go to this place often only when hubby is on business as its 6 hrs from where we live.
They are quite small but very healthy looking. They just went into the tank an hour ago and are cruising around together.
If I happen to loose one then I still have one left as I would never drive to this place just for fish as its to far away.
Here is keeping fingers crossed.

mandrin dragonetts feed exclusivly on pods.
pretty fish, cheap too. not really fair to put them in an 8gal pico, sincethey wont survive after the pods are all gone.

My tank is not an 8 gal its a 3 gal. Mandarins are very beautiful but I did not get one and would not put one in a 3 gal.
I did get 2 very tiny clown gobies, just in case one does not make it due to their size I will have one left I hope. So far so good they are getting along really well, they were from the same tank at the store.
I hope they will nibble on them once they get a touch bigger.
Here are some pics of the tank a while ago. In the bottom left corner I don't have the pink yuma ric anymore and have my green star polyps there instead.
I do have the purple and orange florida rics though as they are my absolute favorite.
