Pods to and from

I was wondering how I should go about getting the amphipods from my sump to my DT. Right now I have a filter over my pump to keep any debris from leaving my sump and going to my DT. By doing this, I also am not getting any pods in my DT also. But if I remove the filter wont the pump kill the pods that get sucked up?

The pump probably wouldn't kill them... this is how any refugium works. I suppose that depends on the pump, however. If you have LR in your sump, which I suspect you do if you're worried about pods, just take a good sized piece with lots of holes and switch it back and forth with another in your tank.

The pump kills some, but not most. Pods reproduce so rapidly it's almost never a problem.
You can use a shrimp net (PetSmart sells them) to catch them and move them up if you like, but this usually involves tearing up the fuge. It's best to just let them get pumped to the tank.
