Here ya go.
!!READ ME!!!
Ps: you should not even be thinking about a mandarin. Until your tank is ATLEAST 6 months or even better a year old with LOTS of live rock and a place for pods to breed.
Also they are not gobies. They are actually dragonets

little bugs. I believe they look like little specs in the aquarium. Variation of colors but usualy dark or white. Most people have a place in the refugium for them to propogate but with enough live rock they will do so in the main aquarium as well. A pile of live rock rubble helps.

Amphipods
copopods
isopods.
You can look for the thread "Pics of pods" This will show you some of what they look like.
I'm thinking about doing a sticky with pod pictures in it.

When you use a fuge, how do the pods get from the fuge to the display tank? Through the pumps?
Basically, how do they feed your display?

in my case they take a ride on the return pump express lol
every so often you can tell when the new bunch has "hatched" becasue my display will be covered in them even with lights on.
then they get eaten and poof there are TONS more we seem to have a good system for breeding them

I'm told that some can survive the pumps, but I don't know how some of them do.
You can use a rock, just leave it in your fuge for a few days and then transfer it to the main for a few days, then do it again.
If you can see the pods then you can suck them up in a turkey baster or syphon them out and put them in the main that way.

instead of rocks we use filter sponges it gives them more places to bread in the sump and you can alter them in and out from the sump to the display. two in display two in sump then switch. dragonets eat ALOT pritty much all day they hop around eating them so a big supply is needed.
when i lost mine to a poorly placed rock

our pop population exploded in only about a day and a half. it was amazing how much he was eating
