Pods????????????????

i dont know a lot abput them but they live in the live sand. they are beneficial and are signs of a healthy tank. some fish actually eat them like the mandarin gobys

I thought mandrin gobies ate the alge and small crustations :notsure: .Do pods come with live rock too?I need to do some reserch.

Nope, mandarins eat pods.

Correct and to add info. it is reported that a mandarin needs atleast 100 lbs of live rock to have enough pods for it to thrive.

if you aren't in control of the pod population.... cuz you can buy them. But if you don't plan on doing that, 100 lbs of live rock would suit them.

true too. I have 300 lbs. of live rock and a 29 gal. sump/fuge that IS LOADED!
