In an earlier discuccion, it was mentioned that a Manderan Goby needed lots of Pods for it to survive and I'm about as clueless as they come.

Pod is short for Copepod. It's like a little marine bug. They are tinee tinee. You may find some in your tank later, they are little white dots that crawl around. They eat billions upon billions of pods and a steady breeding supply will be needed. You can culture them in a refugium which, as you may know, is a tank that is connected to the main tank.

I hope I didn't double post this, but I never saw it show up. Thank you very much for the answer. I'm trying to learn all I can. :)

could also be amphipod. hitchiker threads in the archives have some pics and you can learn about them. Good stuff there! Also other things eat pods to so unless you have a big tank you might want to find a mandarin that eats frozen foods if you are considering one.

Well I waslooking at the tank for little critters crawling around. I found some small brownish round things. But the weird thing was what ate them while i was watching. There were to of them that looked like little white (one was around 3/8" the other about 1/2") starfish. Their bodies were only about 3/64" across and the legs ( 5 of them ) were long and skinny. Funny thing is the way they moved reminded me of an octopus, it wasn't all stiff like a starfish. Any idea's on what they might be? saltwater tanks sure are interesting. I can look at mine for hours lol.
I would love any feedback.
Thank you :)
