How big do pods get. Over the last few days I have seen some huge ones. Will they get so big that they will hurt things in the tank?

These are getting big Bigger than a house fly.

Depends on the specie of the bug. Some Copepods will never get larger than 100 microns, Some Isopods get over 3 feet long.
