Poll: Who do you plan on voting for?

There's a ton of threads debating the presidential choices, but I just wanted to get an idea of how many people are for each candidate. Don't debate about it, go to the other threads to do that. Just put the name of the candidate you voted for. Easy!

there are actually going to be about 7-10 candidates on the ballot, so why do you assume it'll be one of those 3? I WILL be voting in November, and it WON'T be for either of the 3 that you have listed in the poll.

yes, but the 7 dwarfs don't count, neither does micky or minny mouse...

the "7 dwarfs" will account for 6% to 18% of the vote and have determined the outcome of general elections in the past.
now, Hillary and Obama won't both be in the general election. so if the "7 dwarfs" only get 6%, that'll be 6% more than 33% of the candidates listed in this poll.
it really is a silly poll and is not going to give a general idea of what's going to happen in November. instead of reading like it does, it should read:
*McCain
*Democratic candidate
*Green candidate
*Libertarian candidate
etc
etc
etc

you're assuming whoever doesn't win the primaries doesnt go independant...
that's what i would do since it's been such a close race for the primaries...look how it worked out for lieberman

I have been a poll worker since 1997. In my personal opinion, I think BOTH Obama & Hillary will be on the Democratic Ticket come Election Day. Some may disagree with this but I think this will be a first in U.S. History. Yeah it may hurt the Democratic Party in some ways. But people are funny when it comes to voting on Election Day. Trust me, I've heard and seen it all.

there's not been any mention at all of either of these candidates going independant, nor has there been any mention of any independant parties even being interested in either of them unless it would be the socialist party. all this would do would be to guarantee a win for McCain.
so I'm not really "assuming" anything but a foregone conclusion. I think you're just attempting to save face since I hit you with the fact that the "7 dwarfs" are going to actually be on the ballot in November when one of the 3 candidates listed in this poll will not be.

no, that's not going to happen. I don't know if that even COULD happen. but if it did, it would be the end of the Democratic party. not that I'd shed a tear over it.

but if one of the dem's didn't go independant i'd be completely surprised. lets face it, neither of them will willingly be the other's vice president...

WHAT INDEPENDANT PARTY would want Hillary or Obama???? are they going to just invent their own party in the months leading up to the election? they are both far and away too liberal for all the 3rd parties I can think of, unless there actually is a socialist party that is allowed on the ballot. I didn't say either was going to be the other's VP. it's not like either of them HAVE to be in the race. they're not going to both be on the ballot as "Democrat" like the other poster suggested. and I highly doubt that the loser of the nomination will go third party. the most likely outcomes........
1. Obama will get the nomination
2. Clinton will get the nomination
3. the DNC will see both candidates are unelectable and will nominate a more viable candidate (that's actually happened before)
but either way, the fact remains that you are speculating what MAY happen while it is FACT that the "7 dwarfs" will be on the ballot, thus making this whole poll kind of silly.

There was a piece a while back, that had an "unnamed source" who said if obama didn't get the nomination, Mayor Bloomberg was going to donate a gazillion dollars to obama. And run as his veep. on an indie ticket. I think they should go for it.

i'm not saying an independant PARTY, but INDEPENDANT such as lieberman went. he didn't get the democratic vote, but still ran independantly of any party and still won

yeah, I probably am. why? because you made a very ignorant statement about 3rd party candidates. the 3rd parties are the true patriots in this country, not the Republicans and Democrats that bow down to special interests and could not care less about the actual citizens that put them in office.
