Polpys

My polpys weren't opening with my old light and now that I got a new light the seem to be opening, but my question is they been closed for 5 - 7 days are they ok? Don't they need to be opened to eat?

Polips are tough creatures. If they are unhappy they will close and decline. If there is even 1 polip left and conditions become right they will grow again.

I tried puting less water flow and a couple opened up and now I put them on the sand beds so will see if that help. Any other ideas to help?

I lowered my phosphate and Im working on geting my calcium stable will see if it works out.
