Poly Filter in canister filter

Does anyone use Poly Filters in their canister filter? If so could you share the details of your usage. I've got a HOT Magnum and I would like to use Poly Filter pads in it. Thanks for your help.

Polyfill (is what we call it here) generally isn't used in canister. But you certainly can use it. What you would do is place the polyfil or Polyfilters to use your term where the water comes in first. I use polyfill on a sump for my 155.

Are you looking to use the chemical reacting polyfilter pads or just a poly fill "filter floss..?
The "pads" are rather stiff, but could be cut to size, rolled in a tube, and held in place with rubberbands around your "center filter" sort of like the "prefilter sponge" they come with...
Or if your just looking for "mechanical" filtration you can use the "filter floss" in the carbon "basket" and change it out weekly...

I'm looking to use the chemical pads that squidd mentioned. Can I ask how/where you use these in a sump?
