Polyp "tube"? And thanks for feather duster!

I got a polyp coral which seems very healthy. For already a week I see a kind of transparent whitish "tube" coming out of the rock in the midst of other polyps. It's hard to describe but do you have any idea what I am talking about? Is is a new polyp or does it try to "reach out" to another rock??
By the way, my "beheaded" feather duster grew a new head. It has been quite fast. Very cute. Thanks for your advices and encouragement!

It's a new polyp. as they grow new polyp's there mat grows and they spread. I got mine about two weeks ago and have found this out. A good suplement is coral vital. I use it and my polyp's are looking great and it promote's coraline growth.
