does anyone think a polyp rock would be ok in a tank that is 2 months old with 0 ppm nitrates, 0 ppm nitrites, and 0 ppm ammonia? i have 130 watt pc flor on a 20 gallon tall. the water is very stable. i even have a bunch of coraline on the back glass and on the lr! :D im so excited, i just noticed it yesterday... i have only had my lights for a week too! well, thanks for the input, i dont want to kill anything i put into the tank because of something that i did wrong. this site has saved my aquarium, thanks everybody :D

I think polyps would be OK after two months. I have some orange ones that are spreading all over my tank. That is something to consider before putting them in a 20. I think you could do shrooms (will spread as well) as well. What kind of corals do you ultimatly want to keep?

EVENTUALLY I was planning on getting some brain corals, and maybe a green hammer coral as well. has anyone had good luck with long tentacle plate coral? i am really interested in that also. I wanted to get some yellow polyps first though. maybe the rest after the 6 month mark or something.
oh yeah, a big patch of coraline on the back glass of my tank has a lot of little tiny bubbles all over it for some reason... is this normal?
thanks! :D

I have heard the yellow polyps can grow like crazy. Something to consider in a small tank but you should be fine to add them now.

long tentacle plate corals are nice but have a short life spam. The longest time I have been able to keep 1 is about 1 yr. But that was my 1st coral with very little experence. From what I have heard from alot of people they live from 1-2 yrs depending on species.

No not aggresive... at least mine wasn't. They are a very nice addition to the tank watching them be 1 size one day and the next will be 3x the size they where yesturday. Just give them some room and they do move around slowly. If you never had one then I would say go for it and see how you like it. They are only around $30. Just let us know how you feel about them after a few days of having him.
