Pom Pom Xenia fragging ?

I have a Pom Pom xenia stalk that is about 4 inches long that attached to another rock that is above it at about the 3 inch mark on the stalk. My question is, can I just cut the stalk at the 3 inch mark( which I think I can just not positive) and can I do it without taking it out of the DT. The rock it attached to would be very hard to get out. Thanks for the help.

I don't see why not. The xenia that is left on the higher rock might grow into a new stalk, though.

With Xenia you can cut as close to the base as you want and it will still grow back. I eradicated about 8 stalks of silver branching xenia and about the same amount of Pom Pom 3 months ago. It has already made a huge comeback. I just cut mine with an exacto knife. Good Luck!!

CUT hahaha They grow like weeds and I pull them like weeds and give to all my friends, very hard to kill xenia unless your water sucks.

What about cutting it right in the tank? Will there be an issue or with it just being one slice there wont be a problem
