popeye on sweetlips

What is the best way to treat popeye in a tank with invertebrates? <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" />

I was orginally going to put him in my hospital tank and treat him with ampicillex (is this an okay treatment???). However after testing, I found the water in my hospital to be horrible (ph/ammonia....all to high). I don't know very much about this disease (how infectious is it? what causes it?), and was hoping i could somehow just treat him in the main tank, is this at all possible?

By this do you mean to double the dose for 7 days or only for the first day and then continue w/regular dosage for the next 6 days?Thank you in advance.

IF YOU US M2 IN YOUR MAIN TANK WHAT SHOULD YOU DO AFTER TREATMENT IS A WATER CHANGE RECOMMENDED BIO FILTER, ETC.

THE YELLOW WENT AWAY WITHIN HOURS SHOULD I JUST LET IT BE & HOW LONG BEFORE THE FISH ARE COMPLETLY CURED
