im sure he'll be ok.. mine quite regulary deflates totally and sometimes halfway-- looking all withered and nasty. first time it happend i thought it was dying... but it just does this on a regular basis. when i have had to move mine- he deflates as he is touched too.
do you feed yours? i feed mine frozen squid once a week. the day after i feed him- hos outh opens really wide and he 'barfs' out the 'leftovers'. kinds sick- but very interesting to watch.
I will actually be feeding him later tonight after i do a water change (unless my wife starts to ahev her baby :) ) I will make sure to put the webcam in front of it in case you happen to be on and want to watch... msot likely sometime around 10-11 pm eastern time

The one animal (polyp) injured may die or have already died, but the rest of the colony is likely to be unaffected. Do keep an eye as Plerogyra, though generally quite hardy in captivity, are suceptible to brown jelly infections at the site of an injury, and that could take down the colony very quickly if it does set in. What's the species? Sinuosa?

My above response applies if the sac was actually physically torn or popped. As mentioned, they do contract their sacs. Actually it's thought that these vesticles are modified tentacles. (!)
