New Rock, but i think there is a small Mantis Shrimp in it. I saw a small white pill bug shapes thing with a tail like a shrimp and hear clicking at night. It is about 1/2 inch in length. Ill try to get a pic because I believe catching him will be impossible as of yet... But, boy is the rock beautiful...

I also found this orange mushroom looking thing that seems to move on the rock. It is round and comes out at night. It has a small hole in the center and I am guessing it is a mouth. Any ideas what it sounds like it could be? Ill try to get a pic when he is out and I can quickly light up the tank...

That could be a cirolanid isopod. Worse than a mantis IMO. Do a search for them. Or on the brighter side it could just be amphipods.:jumping:

I wish it was, I just saw a pic of a baby mantis. Thats what he is I'm afraid... Crafty little devil, but I made a couple traps and put some fresh shrimp in. We will see what happens I guess. Can anyone identify the orange thing in the pic below? It comes out at night and moves around the rock. It appears to suck right against the rock.

Beautfiul rock. You absolutely do not want isopods, I would rather deal with a mantis. As least you know what your up against and have a chance of catching him. Do a search by Kip4130 he has an awesome pic on one that he plucked off of his fish. Bang has some pics too. Down right scarey creatures.
