Does anybody have a porcelain crab that NEVER makes itself seen? I added two a week ago and haven't seen them since and haven't found any "shells" either.

i have porcelain crabs (my favorite crabs). when i first got mine, they were hard to spot. they never come out in the open. they may be feeding in the rear of the tank behind the rocks. mine do this occasionally. they also like to hide in crevices. they are very hard to spot until you know where they make their home. try taking a flashlight and looking in the rock crevices. i got mine in june from this site.
if you don't have a background on your tank, check behind the rocks. my peppermints like to hang back there also.

We have 1 white porcelain crab (also known as an Anemone Crab) that stays in full view all day, but we have 8 regular porcelain crabs (I assume) that we rarely, if ever, see...I just assume they're all in there still :)

i have 2 of them and both hang out in the same place. they are so cool to watch them feed.
i found a molt one time in the tank. i took it out and it has the coolest texture to the shell. it has a rough feel to it where the stripes are. i found 2 claws (i first though that it dropped a claw) then the top body shell.

I have 2. The larger of the two is very active. He trucks all over the tank. The smaller of the two I rarely see! Sometimes I have to really look for him! But he does come out every now and then. I assume that hes just working the back of the tank and the larger one has the front. :joy:
