what size should a tank be for a porcupine puffer

i would say at least a 90 but a 125+ really. they are a lazy fish but pollute the water bad .more water volume is needed for them

I would lean towards the larger side, if possible. They get to be over a foot long, and have specialized nutritional requirements to keep their beaks in trim.
