i moved to arizona for school when i was younger and after 3 months came back because their was no food there.......they thought cheddar cheese and a little mozzarella cheese is what's on a pizza....italian beef haha thought it was roast beef, hot dogs forget it, except i did find one lady who had a little stand on the side of the road and had vienna beef hot dogs shipped to her which was awesome....dog and pop 1.50 that was my only comfort there

agree with both of you on that you cant beat chicago food, go and stay there many times a year and both of those places are great, as with pretty much any other place you go.
there was a great place in grand forks nd called grand junction, grilled steak and chicken sandwiches, that somewhat compared to food in chicago and they got all there bread from chicago and thats why it was so good. used to eat there pretty much everyday in between my classes at UND.
but for a chain restraunt nothing can compare to chipolte

No doubt, Portillos is the best!

Several years ago I had some friends move to South Florida.
Every 3 to 4 months I had to special order frozen italian beef packages from their catering department and FexEx them to Florida. (this was before Portillos offered that themselves)
I wonder if they got the idea from me?

Ever go to the Candlelight Dinner Theatre on Archer and Harlem in Summit (across the street from Chicago-swside)? I used to work there before they went bankrupt and then the Portillo's took its place. (Its near the Krispy Kreme).

Portillos is great...ironically the guy who started it did it outta a little trailer with no running water...now he does like 60 million a year in sales. We finally got one in Merriville Indiana...but whenever I'm in the city I head there.

Have you ever met up with any of the other Chicagoland reefers? I plan on moving back to Chicago in October (looking at Oak Park) and wouldn't mind doing so after I setup my tank.

Check out Chicagoland Marine Aquarium Society (CMAS) Cmas.net
If you move back early you could make Fragapalooza 07 in late July.

Sorry to go off topic...
Do you know that guy? Who is he? I used to get emails all the time from people asking me to sing at their churches.
One day I think I might show up and belt out my best rendition of some Ministry. :hilarious
