Possible Coral ID

We think we may have identified the coral in the 2.5g tank. It looks like it might be a galaxia. There is some life on it as the coral is coming up out of the top of the skeleton and spreading downwards on the outside. Is this coral a filter feeder or a photosynthesizer? What action do we need to take to take this white skeleton back toa nice colorful coral?

All I know is that they have long sweeper tenticles, so I was just concerned in your 2.5 gal and wanted to pass that on. I know that didn't answer your question, but this helps bump ya too. Good luck!

White with no die off sounds like bleaching. Keep it in the light for the zooxanthelle to grow back, and maintain stable temp. Definitely not a loss yet. Good luck!!!
