possible hole in the head

I have one clown fish in a 30 gal tank. I have noticed some small holes in the first white strip near the head. Are the spot from getting banged up or could the be hole in the head?

Any chance of getting a picture?
If they just showed up, I would favor trauma. HLLE would show up gradually over time.
