Possible red algae?

Is it possible I am getting red algae growth? My 75g with 110 lbs NOT live rock and 4+inch sand bed has only been cycling for a week. All parameters are normal considering cycle.
sg 1.025

ph 8.3

amm 1.0
nitrite 1.0
nitrate near 0
I am getting a reddish color growth on my rock(again, not live). It is growing mainly under areas of better lighting (150 watt mh at 14k) and I cannot remove it with a directed powerhead. I also have ~15gal/hr turnover in my tank.
For these reasons, I guess I suspect its red algae and not diatoms. Any thoughts?
And if it is red algae, is there anything I need to worry about or do? Thx

Its still very small, so it may get glossy and/or stringy. But for now, its more splotchy; as if I dusted the rock with a powder that ranges in color from cinnamon to paprika.

did you put anything "LIVE" in the tank? and when you say Not "LIVE" was it dry base rock or wet base rock.
