My false percs never took to a host other than hovering around a powerhead at night. Tomato clowns have taken less than 24 hours to host my bta. I know clowns don't have to have an anenome and anenomes don't have to have a clown. I've had my bta for about a year and a half. I lost one clown to a bacterial infection and one to ich. The 2 times my bta did not have a clown it would wonder around the tank. With a clown it never moves to different locations, even if we aquascape and move the rock, it stays where we put it.
