Lost to Ich. At least I think so. All the other fish (those pictured and a blue throat trigger) died in a matter of 2 days after the outbreak. The panther soldiered on for another 2 days till I pieced together a QT. But it was too late, at the end I could catch him by hand for the transfer.
I've never heard of fish dying in 2 days from Ich, but they had the no doubt "sprinkled" white specks on them

Yea, the Tusk was probably my favorite personal fish I've ever owned. He would eat live jumbo shrimp (the size you buy frozen) and split them in half. He was a brute with an awesome personality. Him and the blue throat where 2 peas in a pod, and always hug out together.
The silver fish is a Two Lined Monocle Bream aka Bridled Bream (Scolopsis bilineata). I have only seen him once in other tank, and that was on youtube. He was just like all my other fish and was a joy to own. Ate everything that touched the water. I also had two Double Whiptail breams (Pentapodus emeryii) that are a bit faster and more streamlined/open water.

Ich wont wipe out so many fish healthy fish in two days. It must've been something else. you mentioned the fish had specs sprinkled on them .. it couldve also been marine velvet aka "OOdinium" which can wipe out a tank in a hurry. I lost eight fish in four days.
