Thanks alot everyone. I shoot a 30d. Its a GREAT camera. Once you figure out white balance and what settings to shoot your strobes at they all come out nicely. My photo guru I studies with when I lived in Grand Cayman has a setup that costs.....are you all ready for this........wait for it.....
$22,000
HOLY CRAP I say. He is amazing. Check out this link to see some of his work.
He is not competition so I think this is ok. This is just his macro section though.

Bonita - Sharks don't mess with you at all if you are not doing something that triggers the "MUST EAT" mechanism in their brain....IE.....

fishing, chuming the water, surfing (you look like a seal).....so after the first 10 or so you see its all good.
I lived on an island in the Bahamas called Guana Cay teaching scuba and I got left 1 1/2 miles out to sea with a 14ft Hammer head so I could track it while everyone went back to our store to get cameras......that scared me a bit.

What are you shooting with? Those are spectacular!!

And what shop do you teach for?? I'm always looking for a diving hook-up!

Right now I am just doing independant teaching. I am about to go get a job at another dive shop though. The money in the winter is just not steady enough for me. I don't like having to stockpile it in the summer and then wait and see if I can pay rent in winter....although now that I am married its not as much of a problem!
So the last two years I have been working at a dolphin research center doing....photography.
If you are ever coming down here to the keys let me know and I will teach any class in scuba for about 1/2 price as any store down here. I make more money than I would teaching it for the store and you save 1/2 its a win win situation.
