hey guys, i wanna see some gorgonians. im considerin buyin one tomorow either a red or purple. post!!!

Here's mine. Deep Sea Yellow
You need to have a good flow, low light and established tank to have Gorgonians.
They are very picky about the environment they are in.
If you don't provide all the trace elements they need, they won't open and slowly die off.

This is actually the hardest coral for me so far to keep. It needs plenty of flow to feed and little light, no easy feat with MH.

Does anyone know if tangs, butterflies, or inverts will kill/eat these? What about feather dusters?

no, i dont think anything will harm these. i think im going with the red one.

Get one, one of the best buys I ever made. You can't go wrong, Just don't let it hit the air, depending on the species.

Don't feel bad, they are not easy to keep. Mine did great under PC lighting, but isn't thriving now since i got MH.

that was the only thing i lost from the outage...

Here's my yellow gorgo...popular subject tonight. One pic is shortly after I put him into the tank and the actinics came on, and one a few nights later (under lunars, but with flash on the camera) with an emerald crab harrassing, errr, I mean climbing him. Whenever the actinics are on, he almost looks like he has a purple haze from a distance with all the "fuzz" on him. I think he's doing pretty good.
