you definately need a variety. All your oycsters and clams in a shell will be alive. I feed mine on the half shell, (like you see raw oysters served) I put them in the freezer then thawed them out then shelled them. Then I just dropped them in.
Another thing I ended up doing for my smaller fish too, was mixing some mysis, oysters, a few silversides, then chopping up some garlic, and putting vitamines in it then serving them. That ended up being pretty popular for the fish.
