Those first 2 pics are my pond in about April, the next 2 are more recent, about three weeks ago. Thats my winnie dog, who won't stop jumping in the pond and killing the fish (seriously). Then one of my white boxer. Any positive or negative comments welcome.

Go with a local to you breeder. I have gotten 6" koi for $2 each, look at flyers on grocery store boards and such, breeders are usually cheap!

good because i dont want to pay 1000-2000 dolars for a goldfish even though it would be worth it

Here there is fish hatchery with 2ft koi for 50$ and 1ft ones for 15$
