posting pics HELP!!

Ok I went to the faq section and I still dont' really understand what I need to do to post pics. I've tried to resize them with InfranView but how large does a pic have to be to post? Do I have to have a site host pics before I can post? If so where do I find such a site? I tried to watch the video but I guess it timed out and won't let you watch it anymore.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW I saved pics under IrfanView under a JPG at 400 and tried to copy/paste unto the insert image but I guess that still dosn't work because it shows
but still won't show the pic. Also will it show the pic when i preview that post? Sorry for all the ?s just trying to figure this thing out and getting frustrated.

all you have to do is size the pics to 500x500 then click manage attatchments then click browse find the file then click upload. let the pic load the type your message here then submit
Its just that easy

does it take a while for the pics to download. Seems to be taking a long time do do i have it sized wrong? i dunno i'm not to goo d at this downloading thing as you can tell I'll keep trying. thanks
