have had him almost a week he didnt get ich but i am starting to see these little bumps on the side of him, is this something i should be worried about?

Yes, you should worry. I'd re-post this in the disease section of the forum and read the thread on fish diseases, etc. These fish are very suseptible to ich. "Little bumps" could be lots of things, does it look like a sprinkle, or grains of salt? Was the fish Qt'd?
