Powder Brown Tang or WhiteCheek Tang?

I'm undecided which one to go with...Help me decide

i have a powder brown and he is stunning. but that pic of the white cheek is great!
sorry i will be of no help.
from just the pics you have posted i would choose the whitecheek, but again i already have a powder brown that is awsome!

right now we have no fish. We just added rock just recently and were going to let the tank cycle with the rock in it for a few weeks before we put any fish or corals in. So this would be our 1st fish

I can't help you decide...I'd buy both and put them in seperate tanks

They are both gorgeous!!
But you may want to think about adding the tang last....as they do and will get very territorial.

The tand should definitely be last!!
What size tank do you have?

One lives, the other doesn't. Whitecheek Tangs have a pretty bad survivability track record. Most tend to waste away in aquariums. Rejecting food, stress from too small aquariums, etc. Matches it very close cousin, the Achilles Tang.
Powder Browns are also commonly available smaller, which is preferred. A PBT should definitely be one of your last additions. They are pretty aggressive once established, even by most tang standards. Usually claiming the whole tank as theirs.
