poweder blue and brown are the same= ick magnets if not happy. But the problem is finding a good one they don't ship well. i would buy one that is feeding. And no sunken stomache. and has been in the lfs for at least 2 weeks longer is better. You can try mail order but pb imo i would need to see it.

i dont know if thei helps. i have 3 yellows and one purple and 2 blue hippo and a blue tang in one tank. they all do well. it really depends on how you introduce them and what size they are. and pure luck sometimes. if you have a really mean fish it wont work. in my case my fish will almost eat out of my hand. except the hippo's. i also have a naso and a clown trigger all in one tank. with one really small clarki clown(2inches) and 1 really large clarki clown(5inches) and a 5 inch doemino demsel and a blue face angel. i just got the blue face. however they work great. no one is over 6 inches. i do have lots of rock and coral for them to hide and sleep in. i have more problems out of the large claown and the demsel than the tangs. do some research and play it buy ear. as far as the powder blue goes.......get him and thro it in the Q-tank. if he does not act right with others and he is your favorite fish. get rid of the tank mate that is giving him problems.
when they say dont mix two of the same kind...that is just a guidline. its not written in stone. i say go for it
good luck

the 150 was my main tank however its old and the 300 is the main now. i get tanks all the time. but i sell them. i have a friend that makes them. when ever you are ready for a new tank let me know.
I will be taking down the 150. or ut it in the laundry room for trying to reef. i may start selling fish. if i get like 4 more nice size tanks i will start selling them to local folks. just for fun. not to much profit.
but fir i want to learn to reef. i am inching there every day

Just curious, what would your friend charge for a 150 with wood canopy, tank, and stand set? I've a lot to learn as I want to do reef and know I need protein skimmers, wet/dry filters, etc.. (not done researching yet). I've honestly no idea how to set up this tank yet, I've heard outside plumbing and the such. I could use an educated person. I do have "The Conscientious Marine Aquarist" and "Natural Reef Aquariums" by Tulloch so happy reading to me before I do anything!
