Power Brown Tang

Just wondering how hard are these fish to take care of? i'm not planning on getting one anytime soon but i saw one at a LFS and it was around 18 bucks, is that cheap? anyways they look real cool and maybe down the line i'd like to get one. I'm thinking you need a pretty big tank to hold one though? I love those Powder Blue tangs but i don't think i'd ever get one because they seem to hard to take care of. I was thinking a Power Brown Tang could be a nice alternative later on down the line? jw. :happyfish

At least 125 tank and a hobbyist with degree of exp and knowledge. This applies to all tangs. Well established tanks with lots of swimming room, live rock, excellent water quality.

I have a 125gal. and have had a powder brown in my tank for approx. 3 weeks. I 'm no expert but he's doing great. Funny fish h* he thinks he 's a carnivore . I have a niger trigger and buy small guppies for him and you should see the tang chase after them trying to eat them. he also thinks he's the boss of the tank pushing the trigger around . He was in there before the trigger and is larger.
