my tank is 24 inch deep, how is my lighting?
i have four 65 watt 10k bulbs
I keep all my corals high on the rocks, but are my lights strong enough for clams or even corals placed on the sand?

Yeah, most soft corals and polyps should be okay anywhere in your tank. If your gunna try any more light demanding corals id put them up high near the lights. Now for clams, that can be debatable. Some will say you can keep squamosa clams if there up high. Some say no clams unless you have a MH. I myself have seen quiet a few ppl keep a Derasa and a squamosa clams in a 55 gallon with 65x4 of PC (260watts) for years and they are doing fine. Im gunna try to keep one myself once my tank is mature enough to handle one (8-12 months).

if I put in a clam and it ends up that the lighting is not enough, how will the clam begin to look?
also is a toadstool a soft coral?

Yeah the toadstool is a soft coral. If you put a clam in your tank and isnt getting enough lighting it will lose its color. Or wont open up. Im not a clam expert but those are a few things.

A clam will die w/o enough lighting. That is their main food source. Please stick with softies since they will do the best and also look the best under those lighting conditions.
