Power Head Problems

I have recently installed a power head with a hang on fileter at the bottom. My problem is that the power head is blowing micro bubbles about every 20-30 seconds. I spoke to lfs who sold it to me and adjusted per their instructions. I am starting to think this unit is defective. Is it possible that the filter is clogged? Any ideas? Thanks, JP.

I too recently added a aqua clear 301 powerhead with the quick filter attachment. I made sure the powerhead was completley submerged. When I first started it up it blew micro bubbles. I could see some attached to the outside of the quick filter. After about 30 minutes this gradually went away. I have not had any more problems since.
How far under the water surface is your powerhead mounted?
Do you see any micro bubbles on the outside of the quick filter?
I am new to this too. I am sure others with more experience can give you better advice.
