the nano is not powerful. if you go with the nano...i have one for sale. i replaced it with a #2 and it's still on the weak side. they are for NANOS.....like 10 gallon tanks or less!

Personally, in a 29 gallon I would go with a #2, especially if thats going to be your only powerhead. LFS has a single #1 in his 20 gallon longs, and he's getting cyano all over due to insufficient flow. Your 29 should be even deeper. I don't think that a #2 would be too much. JMO

Sorry guys I don't mean to hijack the thread, but since we are on the subject...I have a 20g H and run a MJ1200 and a Koralia #2...overkill?

I dont think its overkill i have 2 1200's in my 20g H and everything is fine but it also depends on what you have in your tank...

good to note.. But i don't need 600 GPH... thats seems like all my stuff will be in a hurican...
it would seem that way, but it's not the case. a 600gph powerhead is not too much for your tank. i have a 30 breeder right now with 2 mj1200's and a koralia 2...and it's not really that turbulent.
