Power Heads for a 46g?

Is it really necessary in a FO tank to have power heads? or a FOWLR tank?

you want the power heads for flow all over the tank, not only for corals but to eliminate dead spots where detrious materials will collect and form algae blooms and nitrate problems.....so the answer is yes yoo should use powerheads in a FO or FOWLR.
a couple maxi jet 900's would probably be great in a 46
